Berrykit was born to Swiftrunner, Halfstar's mate.
During her childhood, she was rejected by her mother, her only friend was her sister, Merrykit.
Eventually, they became apprentices, Berrypaw was apprenticed to Kestreltail. During Berrypaw's dreams, she was interrupted by Tornstar who claimed that he could make her the best warrior in the forest, only if she killed Halfstar.
The whispers in here ears continued throughout her apprenticeship.
