Slatetooth served as Waspstar's loyal deputy, and was the one who brought Angel into the Clan. But after Waspstar's death, he became leader.
He created a temporary rule, not allowing kittypets or outsiders into the Clans, fearing another Angelwing incident, but it was later lifted.

Slatestar appears at a Gathering, and is one of the leaders who kills Lionstar.
