Detailed Description

Jayflight is a gray tom with a tiny bit of a silvery bluish tint to his fur. He has a dark gray classic tabby pattern, short fur, a long tail, multiple torn claws, a huge wound across his pelt, and warm golden eyes. He has unusually short claws and a small nose.

Personality

Jayflight is determined, brave, and loyal, and he'd do anything to save those he loves. He was a bit selfish before, which led to his downfall. However, now, after saving Nightmare from being killed by Drift with the cost of his life, he's very selfless and caring. He's very scornful toward kittypets and loners and will often call them soft for not living the life of a Clan cat, being very proud of the way he is. He's boastful and will often talk about how strong he was, but most of all, he'd give up all his strength for Sweetdream.

Jayflight is very caring toward Sweetdream and protected her during most of the battle with DreamClan. He would do anything for her, even if his life was at stake. They were good friends as kits, and he began to have feelings for her as an apprentice. They became mates as warriors. Sweetdream grieved for him when he died, but she was ultimately proud of him for being so selfless and caring.

Lovekit, Hopekit, and Jaykit

Jayflight loves his kits, especially Jaykit, who was named after him. He never got to see them while he was alive, and he is extremely thankful to be able to see them even after he died.

Interesting Facts

• Jayflight was originally going to be Ivyblaze.
• Jaykit, one of Sweetdream's kits, was named after Jayflight.
• He was originally going to live, however, the author actually had a dream of him saving Nightmare instead of Nightmare dying.
• Jayflight joined DreamClan not only because of Blackclaw, but also because of pure selfishness.
• Jayflight's warrior name was originally going to be Jaywing, but it was changed due to the author thinking readers would confuse him for Jay's Wing.
