Houndsmirk approaches an outsider under the name Mercury with whom she's been conspiring with on her next murder, the murder of Marigoldstar's sister, Hearthsong.
Though back in camp, Barkspawn has been recieving prophecies about "the outsider who will be leader" and has no idea what it means, bringing it to Thistlespark and alerting him off it.
Dappledawn continues her investigation alongside Brindleslip, eventually finding some more evidence about a previous murder, perhaps by the same cat?
