Flamestar is a tortoiseshell she-cat with hazel-brown eyes.^{(Moon 0)}

History[]

Flamespeck was born to unnamed cats in the territory near where GladeClan would be founded some seasons later. She was raised primarily by her unnamed mother until she was old enough to fend for herself.

From there, Flamespeck lived mainly a life of solitude until she started seeing a tabby-and-white tom in her dreams. He taught her about a Clan that used to live in the area, and that she shared distant relations to them. The starry tom encouraged her to meet within the small glade with other cats to bring a new era of Clans.

A few nights later, the she-cat meets seven other cats in the glade, their ages ranging from kits to senior cats. The tabby-and-white tom from her dreams anointed her as their leader and granted her nine-lives from her ancestors and a new name of Flamestar.

Year One[]

As one of the founding members of GladeClan, Flamestar watches over her Clan. Early in the year, she takes on Dandelionpaw as her first apprentice and he very quickly earns his full warrior name before his first season cycle.

Year Two[]

Her year begins less than ideal, losing a life to a spider bit and then sudden loss of Wheatleaf to a dog. Flamestar hides herself away in her den for a few moons. Slowly, she returns to her full duties and comes to find a lot of support in Dandelionwhisker, who would bring her fresh-kill each day and sit near her den. Late in the year, the pair of cats become mates to no suprise of their Clanmates.

Year Three[]

Flamestar begins her year expecting her first litter of kits. She unexpectedly gives birth to four kits whilst on a walk with Dandelionwhisker. She names the surviving kit Cinderkit. The leader dotes on her kit, even gifting Cinderkit a blue flower bulb to wear.

She apprentices her daughter to Bramblespots and is soon expecting her second litter with her beloved. This time around, she settles into the nursery sooner, hoping it'll help her litter.

Year Four[]

The leader gives birth to her second litter of four kits, and this time she names the surviving two Firekit and Finchkit. While nursing her kits, she sees her first deputy, Shadetooth, retire. In his place, she names Bramblespots as the new GladeClan deputy. Towards the end of the year, Flamestar names her kits as apprentices. However, on Firepaw's first outting with his mentor he is hit by a monster while crossing the Thunderpath. Flamestar lays next to his body, numb to the world around her. The loss takes such a toll on her that she can barely find her footing as she stumbles to her nest, wailing for her son. Amongst the grief, she discovers that she is expecting her third litter.

After healing from the grief, Flamestar gives birth to a litter of five kittens. She loses two this time around and names the survivors Gingerkit, Otterkit, and Robinkit. The leader learns from her healers that her son, Otterkit, is seizure prone, and she begins to hover around him from anxiety.

Flamespeck's leader ceremony

Narrator:

As Flamespeck dreams that night, she finds herself walking the stars of Silverpelt, a ghostly landscape surrounding him and a single, starry cat sat within a clearing.

The starry cat approaches her and, although the cat is unfamiliar, their meeting still feels like a reunion with an old friend. "My name is Owlpatch. You meet me tonight, but the cats under your care will all meet me one day when they join the stars. For now," the cat presses their nose to Flamespeck's forehead, "Take this gift, to help you see the dawn behind the darkness."

Suddenly, the mist at the edge of the clearing takes shape. Dozens of wispy, starry spirits emerge, quickly surrounding Flamespeck. "We grant you your remaining lives." Individually, each voice is distant, but together the force of their words shakes Flamespeck to her core. "Use them well, with our blessing." And in a heartbeat, they were gone.

Flamestar wakes, her new name echoing in her ears.

Kin[]

Dandelionwhisker[]

Flamestar and Dandelionwhisker are mates, she was also formerly his mentor. She has limitless romantic and platonic love for the tom, feeling completely secure around him. After her loss of Wheatleaf, Dandelionwhisker was a shoulder for her to lean on. He also continued to be there during the joint grief of losing over half their kittens. No matter what though, Flamestar finds she can rely on the tom.

Cinderblaze, Firepaw, Finchpaw[]

Cinderblaze, Firepaw, and Finchpaw are Flamestar's oldest kits, from across her first two litters. For all three of her kits, she has pure platonic love for them and feels secure around them. Her eldest daughter, Cinderblaze, might be one of her favourites - not that she would say that aloud. She has trust in all three of them, even her dearly departed son, Firepaw. But, her admiration for Cinderblaze is unmatched.

When Firepaw was killed during his first outing as an apprentice, Flamestar was beyond devastated. The she-cat grieved for countless moons, even while she nursed her third litter of kits.

Wheatleaf[]

Flamestar would consider Wheatlef one of her closest friends when GladeClan was founded. He was a real rock for her on the hard days. The she-cat held respect and trust in the older tom. He was the first real loss that GladeClan suffered, and his death and the teeth of a dog was a shock to her system.

Darkstrike & Honeyspots[]

Out of her small Clan, Darkstrike and Honeyspots are Flamestar's least favourite cats. Darkstrike is just the type of cat that Flamestar, for some reason, struggles to get along with. The pair consistently have negative interactions, some at Flamestar's own egging.

With Honeyspots, she has just consistently disliked the tom since he was a young kitten. Flamestar was oftened bugged by the younger tom, finding him somewhat rude and stuck up in his own way.
