Crimsonkit was born to Jasperfur and Russethare alongside his sister, Redkit. Crimsonkit had the temper of his father, and would often end up arguing with the other kits, Sedgekit and Brownkit. They teased him and Redkit about their kittypet origins which just always put Crimsonkit in a bad mood. However, when Moonkit arrived when he was 4 moons old he found he was not the only one with kittypet origins. Rumours spread about who her parents were and Crimsonkit hoped him and his sister weren't alone.
However, when Crimsonkit was an apprentice, Crimsonpaw, Moonkit started to look like the evil Riverclan cat, Hawkfrost. He was disappointed that she was not from the same origins as him but was glad he wasn't the kit of an evil cat.
Crimsonpaw had very short legs, so he wasn't that great at pouncing. He was very good at fighting though, as he had a very quick reaction time and could outwit his opponent. One day, whilst Crimsonpaw was training with Redpaw, a fox attacked him and their mentors. It ripped Crimsonpaw's tail, so then it was just a matted piece of fur. Lionbirch, his mentor, had to go fetch Goldfeather, the medicine cat, who then had to cut the rest of his tail off with a sharp stone.
Soon, Crimsonpaw got his warrior name, Crimsonfur. About 12 moons later, Inki, the current deputy, disappeared mysteriously so Crimsonfur was made deputy. That's when Bramblestar died from an unknown illness so Crimsonfur was given his nine lives from Starclan. He made one of his best friends, Stormtail, his deputy. Crimsonstar had also started to like Moontide, but found she kept disappearing from camp without reason. He then found himself caught up in a love triangle with a rogue named Frost. When Stormtail betrayed them, Crimsonstar wanted to make Moontide deputy, but she refused over her grief for Frost. Therefore Smokecry was made deputy of Thunderclan. However, then Moontide told Crimsonstar she was expecting kits. His kits. He was overjoyed and spent way too much time in the nursery with her.
When she finally gave birth, she had three kits: Oceankit (a small fluffy brown she-cat with blue eyes, named after Ocean), Frostkit (a stocky white tom-kit with black patches around his eyes, ears, tail and feet, named after Frost) and Stormkit (a grey-brown tabby tom-kit with pale blue eyes, named after Stormtail). Crimsonstar was very happy with all of his kits, but did not like how much Frostkit reminded him of Frost.
Around 6 moons later, when Frostkit, Stormkit and Oceankit were made apprentices, there was a gathering about sending new cats to a new clan near the mountains named Peakclan. When they got back, Moontide was nominated along with Whiterose to go to Peakclan. Crimsonstar couldn't bare to be without his mate so he decided to go too, and his 9 lives were taken away from him. Frostpaw and Oceanpaw decided to come too, but Shadowpaw stayed behind as he wanted to be a warrior of Thunderclan.
In the new territory, Northstream, a previous warrior of Riverclan, was made leader. Featherfall, a previous warrior of Windclan was made deputy. Shatterbark, the previous Shadowclan medicine cat took Oceanpaw as his apprentice.
