Crescentwing is a dark blue she-cat with faint swirls and splotches with white on her belly, paws, muzzle and tailtip.
She was born to Magpie and Cloudy in the same litter as Frost. She was housed in Rae's Den, a place for kittypets in an Old Twoleg's den. The cats there take care of each other when the twoleg cannot. When Frost and Luna (Crescentwing then) sneaked out to play, they met a fox and ran, unexpectedly leading a pack of foxes to the kittypets. Frost was killed along with Magpie and Cloudy, and some of the cats in Rae's Den. Luna escaped to Mossyclan's woods, which was closest to the field where the Twolegplace stood. She was found by one of their warriors and adopted into the clan as Crescentkit.
Starclan received a prophecy about her, that she would lead them to their demise. Panicked and desperate to keep their power over the living cats, they consulted Crackletail, a Dark Forest cat who told them to train her to love and serve Starclan. So, Starclan decided to visit Crescentkit's dreams every night.
She was found by one of their warriors and adopted into the clan as Crescentkit. Then, when Crescentpaw was a warrior apprentice, she met Whitepaw when she nearly got ambushed by a pair of foxes. They started talking and meeting.
When Starclan sent a sign for Crescentpaw to become a medicine cat, Fawnbush took her under her wing. However, Crescentpaw resented it at that time, but with time, she started to become used to it.
Crescentwing became mates with Whiteleap and soon realised the cruelty of starclan, along with their manipulation. She had a major role in the Starless Nights Prophecy, and helped the clans get rid of starclan, while forming Fieldclan, where she had three kits- Starrykit, Nightkit and Pearlkit. She sacrificed herself to keep the angry spirits in their prison at 30 Moons old. She was succeeded in the Medicine Cat Role by her daughter Starrypaw.
She is the main protagonist in Starless Nights.

Personality[]
Crescentwing is a rather dramatic she-cat, who doesn't really like to take responsiblity of things. She's good at memorising things but only if they really interest her. She is friendly and quite likable, yet can be careless at times. She is shown to make impulsive decisions, sometimes things that get her into trouble. She likes strange things and wants to bond with other cats.
Crescentwing is drawn to the different, as they prove more interesting to chase. It's cruel, and Crescentwing is ashamed of herself for this.
Description[]
Crescentwing is a slender, slightly fluffy she-cat with a plumed tail. She has heterochmia with blue and yellow eyes, with the blue being scratched blind. Her eartips are fluffy and she has some fluff on her belly. Her pelt colour is dark blue and white splotches, with faint blue swirls that appear on the dark blue splotches. Her paws are white, with a slight stumble when she walks.

Magpie and Cloudy[]
Crescentwing (Luna), as a kit, never really spoke with her parents. Though they loved each other, Magpie often forgot that she had kits. She was rather immature due to the sheltered nature of Rae's Den. Cloudy mostly had to deal with everything, and ended up favouring Frost since she looked more like him. However, it is shown that she harbours love for them when she asks about her parents' whereabouts during her meeting with Starclan.
Frost[]
Frost is Crescentwing (Luna)'s sister. She loves Frost dearly and often inspires her to go on playful adventures. However, this lead to Frost's death. Crescentwing asks about Frost's whereabouts during her meeting with Starclan.
Whiteleap[]

Whiteleap is Crescentwing's mate. They met when they were apprentices and he saved her from a pair of foxes. Crescentpaw tended to Whiteleap's wounds with the herbs she originally collected for Fawnbush and had a conversation with him. They liked talking and started to meet each other after sunsets. When they got their full names, she fell in love with him and became mates after she got her warrior name, and they escaped to later form Fieldclan. There, she had three kits of his- Starrykit, Nightkit and Pearlkit.
Fawnbush[]
Fawnbush was Crescentwing's medicine cat mentor. Though she resented her for choosing her to be a medicine cat apprentice just because of her disability, she warmed up to Fawnbush sooner or later. Fawnbush was quite strict, but she cared for the young she-cat.
