Cailan had lead his group throughout The Vale evading other rogue groups, alongside his mate, Valeska but eventually settled down where she had Wulf, Wulf was born blind and Cailan deemed this imperfect and didn't want anything to do with him.
Eventually Itaric was born, and Cailan only cared about him.
Eventually Wulf ran away, leaving an angry Cailan behind.
