Appearance[]
Brownstripe is a freakishly tall brown tabby tom with round, unusually pale, eyes. There are two scars on each side of his neck. His head is shaped like a rectangle, but if he was described more realistically than he would have a long face with a broad jaw. His ears and legs are long and he is emaciated from living in a famine for the majority of his life.
When Brownstripe is even more stressed out than usual, there are prominent dark circles under his eyes due to him not sleeping.
Personality[]
Brownstripe is depressive and self-centered.
He's a dork. He loves counting things, like the number of days it's been since he was divorced. He brings others down (mainly his brother) to feel better about himself. He looks down on others (literally and figuratively). He does everything out of obligation instead of doing what he wants.
Brownstripe is very faithful to StarClan. He is currently deputy and believes it is his burden to bear being so holy (look at AppleClan for context). He never wanted a leadership position but thinks he is sparing everyone from this cruel cruel fate (bro thinks he's a martyr 🙄)
He's easily forgiving, lonely, apathetic, reserved, a pushover, generous. He's quiet most of the time, though when he does speak his sentences are very long.

Pre-Rotting Flower[]
Brownstripe was born to Petalbreeze and Sedgeclaw alongside his brother Juncocry. Brownkit and Juncokit were best friends. They were both weirdos and didn't spend time with the other kits.
MAJOR EVENTS
- At first, Brownkit and Juncokit were neglected by their parents
- They would go out into the woods unsupervised all the time
- Then at three moons old, Brownkit had a growth spurt
- He was way taller than a kit should be and that made his parents notice him more
- In AppleClan, the tallest cats are closer to the stars, therefore being closer to their warrior ancestors
- Brownkit was considered holy and would be trained for leadership
- Petalbreeze and Sedgeclaw spend even less time with Juncokit in favor of Brownkit
- Around this time the drought just began

Rotting Flower[]
He's the main character. Ew.
Brownstripe is the only one sad when Spiderstar dies and he's been divorced for about 4 months. He does not talk to Juncocry ever. Since he is the second tallest in the clan, he gets promoted to deputy.
Then later Flowerstar gets murdered every month and Brownstripe is like "omg if I don't do anything everybody's gonna think it's me since I'm the deputy now ughhhhhh."

Juncocry: Brother. They hate each other for reasons I'll explain later. Though, Brownstripe never even hated Juncocry for personal reasons, he just forced himself away from his brother to look like a better person to his clan because of Spiderstar.
Soilstrike: Ex-husband (former mate for nerds who only use canon words)

Flowerstar: kind of weird, they were the two closest people to Spiderstar and they're both in leadership positions they don't want, but they're just telling each other to suck it up like... I need to develop their dynamic more because this is literally the titular character and the main character of the comic 💀

- The modern day version of him was created in April 2020
- His voice claim is any Patton Oswalt voice (Remy from Ratatouille, Male Jesse from Minecraft: Story Mode)
- He is the warrior cat oc I draw the most because I love torturing myself idk
- In the "People Eater" Animation I drew 1137 stripes on Brownstripe
- Brownstripe had four scars on the side of his neck from August 2021 to August 2024 until it was changed to the current scar pattern. The reason he got those scars changed back in 2023, but I never updated his design to reflect that until September 2024.
