Brightwater is a ginger and white splotched she-cat with green eyes. She was born to Slashstar and Brindlepelt of ScarClan as Brightkit alongside her siblings Featherkit and Skykit. She snuck off and saved her siblings alongside two loners, Halfstone and Mistshadow. She became a medicine cat apprentice under Cloudbounce , and saved Amberpaw's life after Nightflower shredded the young tabby. She was the first to know that Stormtail was expecting kits, and also saves Skypaw from the fire in Flame of Pain. She is aware of the fact that Slashstar had lost a life due to the cold weather. She becomes a full medicine cat as Brightwater after delivering Stormtail's kits. She also helps with the delivery of Sunleap's kits in the early chapters of Fallen Shadows. She is taken hostage by BlazeClan in Chapter 8. in Chapter 11 her clanmates come to rescue her and she witnessed Ambersight kill her mentor Cloudbounce on orders of Ashblaze
Personality and Traits[]
Brightwater is a bright and bubbly young she-cat. She is endlessly caring, and suprisingly brave. She loves healing, never having shown interest in being a warrior, and was super excited when she became Cloudbounce's apprentice. She can be very shy sometimes, especially when she first meets Mudpaw, a cat who came to ScarClan from the fire
As a full medicine cat she is devoted and caring.
Relationships[]
Brightwater was born to Slashstar and Brindlepelt, alongside her sister Featherfluff, and her brother Skyflight. She is close friends with both Hollyfern and Ambersight, and is also close with Sunleap. She has a StarClan mentor in Creamwhisker. She is also very close with Cloudbounce, her mentor, and would never leave his side unless needed. She shows a deep caring for Stormtail as well, especially after the latter is revealed to be expecting kits.
Mistakes and Facts[]
- Brightwater was described in A Wishful of a Kit with blue eyes, but her eyes are actually Canonically green, as confirmed by Third7. The best reasoning for her eyes being Blue in A Wishful of a Kit, but becoming Green after Flame of Pain is probably due to her Mini Movie, Brightwater's Mercy, where she is designed with blue eyes. Third7 confirms she also changed that Brightwater's eye color to be green as well.
- She was also described to have a white and gray striped tail in Slash's Will and A Wishful of a Kit, but her design was later changed to a ginger tail with fading darker to the tip. The reason for this change is also due to Brightwater's Mercy. In Brightwater's Mercy, she is described to have a ginger tail that fades to dark brown at the tip, but in Slash's Will, she is described with a white and gray tabby tail. Heck most of her body was white then. So the green eyes from her Slash's Will design was merged with her color pallet and design from Brightwater's Mercy were merged to created the Brightwater we know today.
- Her mother was not Brindlepelt in the Mini Movie. This is because the Mini Movie was done fully in Warrior Cats Ultimate Edition. Her mother in the Mini Movie was Juniperbranch, but it is now confirmed to be Brindlepelt. She also had a sister named Flameleaf in the Mini Movie, who is now replaced by Featherfluff, and Skyflight.
