Batface[]

Batface is a very dark grey, nearly black, tabby tom with many scars.

Story[]

Batkit was a bold kit with a sharp attitude, but he was respectful toward the elders, warriors, and other higher ranking cats.

Batpaw promised to train his hardest to become a great warrior for his Clan.  His mentor, Flurrynose, a silver and white tabby she-cat, was fond of his enthusiasm.  They both did their best and before long, Batpaw was ready.

Batpaw became a warrior, Batface, and continued to serve his Clan.  Not long after, he was given his first apprentice, Jaguarpaw.  Jaguarpaw was a brave apprentice, and Batface taught him everything he knew, but during a gathering, there was a rogue attack on the camp, and Jaguarpaw was killed while saving a kit, Lemonkit.  He was renamed to Bravepaw after death and Batface couldn't have been more proud of his apprentice.  The leader, Leafstar, told him that he had done well with Bravepaw and had taught him to be as loyal to WindClan as he could be, and so when Lemonkit was old enough to be apprenticed, she chose Batface as her new mentor.

Batface trained Lemonpaw the same way he had trained Bravepaw.  He made sure she knew all the same moves he had, and all the skills, but she still wasn't like Bravepaw.  She was strong and loyal, but no bit of training could have made Lemonpaw the same as Bravepaw.  Bravepaw was special, and no cat forgot his heroics, and how he gave up his life, and his time to be a warrior, for his Clan.  Lemonpaw eventually became Lemongaze, a warrior of WindClan, and Batface knew he had trained her well.

Batface chose Branchsnap, a brown she-cat with gold eyes, as his mate.  They had kits not too long after.  Tabbykit, Sleekkit, Shimmerkit, and Moosekit.  Batface was happy to know he had new kin.

Batface was given Antpaw as an apprentice and helped train him.  He'd had quite a few apprentices by then.  His life was busy, and he barely had time for his kits.  His kits became apprentices, Tabbypaw, Sleekpaw, Shimmerpaw, and Moosepaw.  He was proud of his kits for making it this far, all of them being strong enough to survive all of the harsh conditions of life on the moor.

Batface was shocked when he heard that Branchsnap was expecting kits again so soon.  She seemed more worried, though, and Batface had assumed it was just because her kits had just become apprentices only a few moons ago, and now she was already back in the nursery.  When the kits were born, Branchsnap admitted to Batface that her second litter was fathered by a kittypet, and Batface was furious.  He'd thought that he would have a second litter of kits, but Branchsnap had lied to him.  She begged him to forgive her and he said fine, as long as she didn't do it again.

Batface's apprentice, Antpaw, became a warrior, Antmask.  Batface fely bored with the empty time spot in his day.  Instead of going on extra patrols, he'd met a smokey blue-grey she-cat with gold eyes named Skyler.  She'd fallen for Batface at once, and he felt the same about her.  The two began meeting every two days on the border with the barn, until one day, the rogue said that she was expecting his kits.  He offered that she join WindClan but she declined.  She said she wanted to stay with her family.

The deputy, Ratfoot, was hit by a monster, and Leafstar chose Batface as the new deputy.  He was happy at how excited his kin was by this.

Batface recieved a temporary apprentice when Fluffyfur, one of the warriors, moved into the nursery expecting kits.  The apprentice, Lichenpaw, was shyer than the apprentices Batface had delt with before, so it was harder for him to get through to him. Lichenpaw eventually grew used to the dark tom and got along well with him. When Fluffyfur returned from the nursery and took her apprentice back, she complemented them both on their training.

Skyler took Batface to meet his kits for the first time. Raspberry, Strawberry, Blueberry, and Cherry were excited to meet their father, and Batface became fond of them. He wished that Skyler would join WindClan with him, and offered her the opportunity again, but she declined once more. She said she could love him even if she wasn't a Clan cat.

Branchsnap began arguing with Batface about how he never spent time with her and the kits, and he snapped at her, saying that her second litter wasn't even his, which upset the kits, causing Branchsnap and Batface to separate. Batface was irritated by this. Later that day, Branchsnap announced to all of WindClan that Batface was meeting Skyler. Batface got back at her by telling the Clan about her affair with a Ginger, a kittypet, and how her second litter of kits were half-Clan kittypets.

Batface had taken Lilyfern as a mate, hoping having kits with her would make the Clan think that he had left her, and it worked. Branchsnap was furious that he'd replaced her so quick, and complained that he never loved her. Lilyfern had Batface's kits, Horsekit, Bluekit, and Sleetkit, three toms. The brothers were close, but something always seemed off about Horsekit. When his kits became apprentices, he was proud of them, like he'd been proud of his first litter. A while after, Lilyfern had had his second litter, Hazelkit, Umberkit, and Orangekit.

Batface spoke to Skyler about running away to join her, and she said she didn't want him to give up his role as deputy, or his place in his Clan. A few sunrises later, he found Skyler dead on the border, killed by Branchsnap. He attacked Branchsnap, asking her why she did it, and she simply said that she was stopping him from being a loyal warrior.

Leafstar died and Batface became Batstar, the leader of WindClan. Things seemed to be going great for him for that time. He had everything he wanted, except maybe Skyler, but he was starting to fall for Lilyfern. He lost his first life saving her from a fox.

After a long time, Batstar was on his last life, and he retired and became an elder, leaving Laurelface, his deputy, to become leader in his place. He was content with how his life had been, but then, Branchsnap killed his mate, Lilyfern. He killed Branchsnap to avenge her death, and later on she came to him in a dream, telling him not to worry, and that she will be there with him soon.

Batface was exiled for killing Branchsnap, by the medicine cat, Rosebush. He set off toward twolegplace, which was where his paws seemed to guide him. He found the Guardian Cats, and requested to join them. He found his kits, Cherry, Blueberry, Raspberry, and Strawberry, living there, too. They trained him on how to be a healer, and caring for ill cats.

Batface got older and older, and his bones began to ache more and more, until one day, he felt his life slip away. He wasn't afraid to die anymore, because he knew it was his time. After he died, he was shocked to realise he wasn't a StarClan cat. He didn't have stars in his pelt, and he looked almost see-through. Skyler came to him, and they spent days together as ghosts, side by side, until one day, she told him he had to travel back to WindClan, so his ancestor could find him. He didn't want to, but eventually he gave in.

When he returned to the lake, he felt comforted by the familiar sounds and scents, but he was invisible to his former Clanmates. Soon, Lilyfern came to him as a StarClan cat, and guided him to StarClan. He watched over his kits with her by his side, along with his parents and his sister who'd died at birth.
