Bluestar's Prophecy / The Prophecies Begin[]
- "Fire will burn your forest if you do not act quickly; avoid the ginger-furred cat."
- —StarClan to Aprilpelt, revealing a small prophecy about her own eyes [Into the Wild], Chapter Unknown
Born as a kittypet, April tended to sneak outside of her Twoleg's garden to view the forest. When caught by Bluefur on her first visit, she was led to Sunstar and was accepted into ThunderClan. She worked hard and long during her apprenticeship to prove time and time again her loyalty to her Clan despite Tigerpaw often harassing Aprilpaw for being a kittypet. After finally becoming a warrior, Aprilpelt kept her shy personality as she walked along her own path.
Aprilpelt met Misa, her sister, the day after her warrior ceremony. She took Bushkit to ThunderClan, and he wasn't quite introduced with open arms; however, he did become Bushpaw, and he made a few good friends. Walking along Twolegplace one day, she saw Misa limping toward her while bleeding. Aprilpelt offered Misa some help and tried to lead her to the ThunderClan medicine den, but her sister had refused. Sitting beside Misa, comforting her, Aprilpelt saw her sister die. She wept for a while before returning to camp with prey, however, and she slowly started to heal. When Firepaw joined the Clan, Aprilpelt and Bushpaw were chasing ShadowClan invaders over the border; consequently, Bushpaw was ran over by a monster. Aprilpelt returned to camp, revealing the news, and Tigerclaw personally said she was "unworthy of having another apprentice."
She eventually wandered far at the battle of Sunningrocks a lot later, and she saw Tigerclaw taking Redtail's life. Having her left eye taken out in return, which shattered her prophecy, she stayed distant from her Clanmates until Tigerclaw's exile.
- "Before fire clashes together, water must stop it."
- —Spottedleaf to Aprilpelt; this would be Aprilpelt's last prophecy [Forest of Secrets], Chapter Unknown
Finding Fireheart and Tigerclaw fighting furiously in Bluestar's den, Aprilpelt stepped forward and stopped the fight before any other cat got injured; this prophecy was fulfilled unlike her first one. When Tigerclaw was banished from ThunderClan, Aprilpelt willingly stepped up and offered to go with the blood-thirsty tom, to which he accepted this offer. She also met his 'companions,' Blackfoot, Tangleburr, Snag, and many others. Once Tigerclaw and Aprilpelt rested in ShadowClan, they both found out that Nightstar had died.
Soon, there was a fire in the ThunderClan camp, so the two went to the camp to see Bramblekit dangling from a tree. Aprilpelt saved him, and Tigerstar became the leader of ShadowClan with Blackfoot as his deputy. As the time passed—ShadowClan turning into TigerClan—Aprilpelt realized that her loyalties lie in ThunderClan. So when Tigerstar found out about this, he was clearly disappointed. He released the dog pack, and Bluestar was killed; consequently, Firestar became leader. Tigerstar was killed by Scourge, and Aprilpelt snuck out of camp at night for a few days to mourn for his death before finally leaving him alone. When the battle against BloodClan came out, Aprilpelt met her brother, Ace, in battle. After a short bit of talk, Ace leapt forward to kill her, but she dodged his attack and killed him in the end.
After the battle, Aprilpelt made a new friend, Grasstail, and she started having dreams in the Place of No Stars. She was trapped there by Tigerstar, now being forced to enjoy the company of villains as she waits for someone to save her.
Aprilpelt's Journey[]
- "You remember, don’t you, though? When I first joined the Clan, you wanted nothing to do with me. ‘Tigerpaw.’ I miss calling you that name."
- —Aprilpelt to Tigerclaw while trying to make small talk. Aprilpelt's Journey, Page 17 in Chapter 1
Aprilpelt's Journey is an alternative universe (meaning it is not canon despite some parts being in her story) novella based off of Tigerclaw's Fury where Aprilpelt joins her enemy, Tigerstar, in exile.
Summary[]
In The Prophecies Begin arc, Tigerclaw has been exiled from ThunderClan. Trivia[]
Interesting Facts[]
- Her brother, Ace, is a BloodClan cat despite being born a kittypet. She had to fight him to save the forest territories when Scourge tried to take the forest for himself. He fought her and nearly died, escaping the forest only to be dead a few days later because of his wounds (he didn't know how to take care of them properly).
- Her sister, Misa, was born and stayed a kittypet. She had four kits, one of them being Bush (later Bushpaw) who was brought to ThunderClan as Aprilpelt's nephew. After that, Misa was mauled by dogs after trespassing into a random garden and died of blood loss. Since she escaped into the forest to find her sister, she couldn't find help in time.
- Aprilpelt was intended to be an OC for an 'OC x Canon' thing, but it never worked out according to her relationship with the dangerous Tigerstar.
- Her sexuality and birthday was thought about on Discord (with the images below).
- Aprilpelt's favorite prey to eat are blue jays.
- Aprilpelt's Journey is considered not to be canon because the plot in the novella doesn't fit well with her real story.
