When Houndsmirk speaks to Mercury about a plan to kill Hearthsong, she brings up her brother, Acidfish and why she wanted to kill Marigoldstar in the first place.
Acidfish was one of the cats send with Marigoldstar on a small mission and ended up being killed by a rogue on the way, Houndsmirk blames Marigoldstar for the murder, it stands as one of the reasons why she killed Marigoldstar, the other being that the Clan had gotten boring without the drama and death.
